The mountains of Sunnmøre.

 These mountains have attracted mountaineers from the late 19th century, when famous climbers like C.W. Slingsby discovered the beauty and challenge of the mountains here. Today a lot of people enjoy the same mountains and a growing amount of tourists come to enjoy the wild nature in the area. The variety of the nature offers a lot of different experiences. Some of the mountains are a challange to climb, and you need special equipment like climbing axes and crampons. Others are easier to get to, and are suitable for the tourist who wants a day–trip in nature. The mountains are popular both during summer and winter. Some of the routes are unique in the world, because you can ski from the mountain tops at almost 2000 meters and right down to the famous fiords in the area.

SunAlp Mountain Guides is a local firm which is located in Volda, and has 11 years of guiding experience both in Sunnmøre and other parts of Norway. Most of our guides are educated mountain guides and are certified UIAGM/IVBV/IFMGA. This means that they are internationally certified mountains guides. They know all about the mountains in the region and they guide both during summer and winter. We can find the suitable mountain for you and take you there.
